Fr Tony Convery
My home parish was St Mary’s in Ponders End, Enfield and there I was baptised, made my First Communion, was Confirmed and eventually ordained as a priest in 1971. I started training for the priesthood initially in the junior seminary at St Edmund’s Ware and when I was 18 I went to the English College in Rome. My first appointment was to the parish of Kenton where I spent five years and then on to White City where I started as assistant priest for five years and then became the Parish Priest for five years. From there it was out to Stevenage in Hertfordshire for eleven years in an unusual Team Ministry parish with four churches and a team of priests and sisters. I went Hounslow in 1998 and spent more than 13 very happy years there before being asked to come to St Edward’s where I started at the end of August 2012.
I am hoping that I can help to forge stronger links between St Josephs and St Edwards, as well as being a general pastoral support to the work of the school.
