Mrs Rita Tracy
I was a teacher for 37 years, 23 of them spent teaching at St. Joseph’s Junior School, and a Link Tutor for trainee teachers for 7 years during the early part of my retirement. During my teaching years, I had experience with Nursery, Infant and Junior aged children. I have also had experience with delayed and disordered language children. I spent many years coordinating the teaching of Science and Religion at the school, maintaining strong links between school, home and church. I believe that St. Joseph’s strength lies with its Catholic ethos and the nurturing of the children’s religious beliefs and understanding. As a Governor at the school I hope that my experiences and enthusiasm will benefit the school and it’s children and help them to become confident, independent learners and responsible citizens in the wider world.
