Dr James Lane

I grew up in Australia and moved to England in 1996 and began my teaching career in this country in a Hertfordshire primary school. Prior to taking on the executive headship at St Josephs, I had been executive headteacher of St Francis de Sales federated infant and junior schools in Tottenham for the last five years. In all, I have been a headteacher in London schools for over 12 years.

In addition to my experience as a headteacher, I have a wide range of additional experience in the field of education in particular;

  • I am the programme lead for Future Leaders – an organisation focused on accelerating middle and senior leaders to headship
  • I sit on the steering group for Teach First in London
  • I have also worked as a school improvement consultant for the Haringey local authority underperforming schools

I live in Winchmore Hill and worship at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St George.
