Mrs Rachel Doherty
My involvement with St. Joseph’s holds significant personal meaning. All three of my children had the opportunity to attend St Joseph’s, and I was fortunate to have served as a teacher here as well.
My academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in History, a Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Education (PGCE) and a MSc in Psychology. These qualifications have equipped me with a solid understanding of educational principles and practices, as well as insights into child development and learning psychology.
Beyond academia, I am an active parishioner at Our Lady of Dolours and previously served as a catechist. In this role, I supported the religious education and spiritual development of children in our parish.
As a primary school teacher, I am grateful for the opportunity to lend my expertise and contribute to the betterment of our school community at St. Joseph's and support the education and development of all pupils.
I look forward to working collaboratively with staff, parents, and fellow governors to continue advancing our shared vision of excellence in education.
